Here is a way to enable and review the Workflow logs.
- First of all check the MSDN Post to enable logs, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907490. This is the same thing as in CRM 3.0, but the log/trace files are written to the trace directory below Microsoft CRM 4.0 home directory, the TraceDirectory registry entry is irrelevant.
- Second, you can take a look at the files directly, but it's long and complex. I suggest to download the Stunnware Trace Log, at http://www.stunnware.com/crm2/topic.aspx?id=TraceLogViewer. It is working with CRM 4.0, and with the CrmAsyncService log files too.
That's it. Do not forget to disable log files when you finish, it grows extremely rapidly.
