When installing CRM 4 Outlook client, you may encounter this problem, Install PST Action failed.
Two method that I tried and were successful.
Method 1: Remove CRM Outlook Data file (check the references)
Method 2: Run %windir%\system32\fixmapi.exe

When I tried to install the second rollup on a CRM 3.0 installation, I had this error
dbremoveaction registry key
Searching on the web found nothing... after investiguating a little I found that... it was the roll up 2 for CRM 4!
Why the installation package did not alert me?

When installing the Email router without having exchange installed there is a link that point to the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 download, and it is no longer working.
To fix this issue you can install the Collaboration Data Objects, version 1.2.1 but this requires to have
I have make it available, you can download it from my files (registration required to avoid hot linking).

Like almost all the clients want, I configured my brand new CRM installation using an different hostname, like http://crm instead of http://theservername, so I was not using the default website.
The first time I installed CRM 4.0, I wanted to use the Sample Data provided by Microsoft, even if I read the ReadMe to install this using the Data Migration Manager It was not successfull. I was thinking that the Migration Manager was not as Nice as I was hopping.
After a couple of days developping using CRM 4.0, I found that the problem was not the software, but the configuration of CRM itself. The discovery service was not returning the an address that was pointing to the website, but to the server name instead!
Just by stopping the default website, and removing the hostname associated with the CRM website's binding solve my problem.
To correct that, I think the configuration in the MSCRM_CONFIG could be modified, so that a pointer to the good hostname is returned... but I do not have the time to check that.
